Your Tax Center will display the returns you have created as and their Federal Status. Viewing a specific return filing's Navigation Page will display your status report with your Submission Status received by the IRS, and/or Government Agency if applicable.
Return Statuses & Meaning:
- Filed/Submitted: Your return has been successfully filed and submitted to the government agency. You will receive a confirmation email from us.
- Accepted: The government agency has accepted your return for processing. No further action is needed at this time.

Rejected: Your return was not accepted due to an issue, such as incorrect information or a filing mismatch.
- Follow the instructions in the rejection email to correct and resubmit your return.
Important Information: Real-Time Status Updates
- We will send real-time email updates as soon as we receive new information about your return. If your status is not displayed on the Navigation page, it may still be awaiting acknowledgment from the government agency.
- Tip: Processing times vary, but we are committed to keeping you informed every step of the way. Please check your email regularly for updates.
How to check a detailed Status
1) Log in to your FileYourTaxes.com account
2) Select Work With Filing to view your return filing on the Navigation page
3) Select Get eFile status to check if your return is Accepted, Rejected or Pending
If your return has been rejected and further assistance is needed to understand your rejection, please send a secure email.
