In order to delete your FileYourTaxes.com account, you will have to reach out to our Support team through a secure email in your account to request a deletion. FileYourTaxes.com does not give users the ability to delete their own accounts. If you would like to move forward with deleting your account, you can do so by making a request following the steps below.
FileYourTaxes.com requires a multi-step process for an online request to delete an account. You must make two separate indications that you desire this request for our team to confirm your request.
To delete your account
1) Submit a Request: Send us a Secure Email requesting the deletion of your account.
2) Follow-Up Instructions: You will receive a Secure Email with further instructions to confirm your account deletion.
3) Confirm Deletion: Following the instructions provided, you must send a second Secure Email to confirm the deletion of your account.
Once your account has been deleted, you should receive an email confirming the deletion of your account to the email address listed on the My Account page.
Important Note: If you confirm your request, we will delete your information from our system and you will not be able to log into our site to see your tax information that you previously entered.
Once your account is deleted, we will no longer be able to provide you customer support regarding your deleted account or submit your tax returns to be electronically filed. We protect your information by encrypting all of the data you provide to us and we keep your account secure with our secure multi-factor authentication process by requiring your username, password, and entering a code to log in.
