Most commonly, this error is due to having incomplete information entered on boxes 15-20 of the W-2 Income Page. To prevent this error, you must leave boxes 15 - 20 blank if no amounts are shown in boxes 16-19 of your W-2 form.
When issuing W-2 forms, employers may have the state and locality fields boxes 15 - 20 partially filled out without amounts shown on boxes 16 - 19. The partial information shown only on boxes 15 & 20 is not for reporting to the IRS/states. For this reason, FileYourTaxes.com will not allow you to save this partial information to the page.
Alternatively, if there are amounts shown on boxes 16 - 17 and/or 18 - 19 that are non-zero values, you will need to complete the required fields to avoid error messages.
